Tilly - What's in a name?
For me Tilly describes the "what" and the "how" of my business.
The "what"
The name Tilly has German origins, meaning "mighty in battle". For me this means helping you to grow your business and yourself from strength to strength. I have a wealth of experience in Strategy forumulation and implementation. I can help businesses and individuals to develop their long range plans as well as annual business plans, with detailed supporting action plans to secure long term sustainable growth and achievements.
The "how"
Tilly is an old Irish expression meaning " a little bit more".
Its origins come from when we used to have local creameries and a milkman would deliver pints of fresh milk to our doorsteps every morning. He would always put "a little bit more" than a pint into the milk bottle, for as we know the birds used to love to peck the foil on the bottle to taste a little of the cream on top of the milk. It became a popular phrase of old, and was even known in bars for a person drinking whiskey, for example, to be heard asking the barman "will ya put a Tilly in that?".
"Tilly" is a nod to my business being proud of its Irish origin, and "Tilly" is the ethos of my business - i.e. endeavour to offer "a little bit more", ensuring that each client believes that they receive great service and great value for money.
